Method for controlling proliferation of cord blood hematopoietic stem cells and uses thereof |
abstract |
Provided is a method of controlling proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells with excellent safety when proliferating hematopoietic stem cells derived from cord blood by culturing. The hematopoietic stem cells are inoculated in a medium containing the liquid component of the umbilical cord blood sonicated. In the presence of the liquid component of the umbilical cord blood subjected to the ultrasonic treatment as described above, proliferation and differentiation of umbilical cord hematopoietic stem cells can be suppressed. On the other hand, by inoculating the hematopoietic stem cells in a medium containing the liquid component of the umbilical cord blood which has not been sonicated, the proliferation of the cord blood hematopoietic stem cells can be promoted. As described above, according to the present invention, by using the serum derived from cord blood, it is possible to arbitrarily control the suppression and proliferation of the proliferation and differentiation of cord blood hematopoietic stem cells. |
