titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for determining near-end position in the root canal |
abstract | The present invention relates to a near-end-positioning method and apparatus for determining the depth position of the near-end in the dental root canal. The present invention relates to a first probe electrode inserted into the root canal of a tooth, a second electrode in conductive contact with the oral mucosa, frequency-generating means capable of generating an alternating electrical signal at many frequencies, and an electrical magnitude of the alternating current signal in a circuit. Use a device capable of forming a circuit comprising means for measuring. The invention excites the circuit and measures the magnitude level of the alternating current signal (I), and the intersection point (C, M) at which the two levels (If, IF) measured at low and high frequencies meet and are substantially the same. Detecting, these frequencies (f, F) are sufficiently apart such that the intersection point (C) is present. This point tells the location M of the near-end X. |
