abstract | PURPOSE: An antibody which specifically recoganizes acetylated BubR1 and a method and kit for detecting acetylation of BubR1 are provided to measure cell division check point activity. CONSTITUTION: An antibody specifically recognizes acetylated BubR1 protein. BubR1 is derived from Homo sapiens, Mus musculus, Gallus gallus, or Xenopus laevis. In homo sapiens-derived BubR1, 250th lysine residue is acetylated. In Mus musculus-derived BubR1, 237th lysine residue is acetylate. The antibody is Fv, ScFv, Fab, Fab' or F(ab')2. A kit for detecting acetylation of BubR1 in a sample contains the antibody for BubR1. The sample is derived from cancer tissue. A method for detecting acetylation of BubR1 comprises: a step of isolating the test sample; a step of contacting the sample to the antibody; and a step of determining acetylation of BubR1. |
