System and method for optical regulation of cell line, secondary transporter |
abstract |
Various methods, devices, and compositions are used for the photo-activating molecules. One of these methods is used to generate secondary transporters in cells. Nucleotide sequences for expressing chimeric photoreactive membrane proteins (eg rhodopsin) are modified by one or more heterologous receptor subunits (eg adrenergic receptors (alpha1, beta2)). Photoreactive membrane proteins are expressed in cells to produce secondary carriers in response to light. |
