abstract |
The present invention relates to a method of enhancing the mechanical properties of the cornea by exposing the cornea to ultraviolet light in the presence of a photoinitiator. Such methods can be used to treat keratoconus. The method may also be used to treat corneal dilatation following a surgical procedure or to strengthen the cornea prior to surgery. |
