Method of Surface Modification of Particles |
abstract |
The method of making functionalized particles comprises providing a feed material comprising particles, a surface treating agent that reacts with the particles, and a solvent. The feed material is guided through a continuous hydrothermal reactor maintained at a temperature sufficient to react the particles with the surface treating agent to provide functionalized particles. The method of the present invention can provide functionalized particles within about 4 hours. |
