The present invention provides novel additives for improved analysis by mass spectrometry. More specifically, it has been found that ascorbic acid reduces or eliminates the presence of adducts generally present in the mass spectrum. The improved methods and compositions of the present invention can increase accuracy, sensitivity and throughput for samples analyzed by mass spectrometry. |
