In the present invention, even when an alkali metal is used to form the electrode of the electrical storage device, the electrode is produced in a stable manner. An alkali metal ion storage and emission layer, which is a layer capable of storing and releasing alkali metal ions, is formed on the surface of the current collector, an alkali metal film is formed on the surface of the alkali metal ion storage and emission layer under reduced pressure, and ionized while ionizing the alkali metal film. A negative electrode is produced by impregnating the alkali metal thus obtained into an alkali metal ion storage / release layer. |
