abstract The present invention generally relates to in vitro diagnostic methods, in particular fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), inorganic phosphorus (P), product of inorganic phosphorus and total calcium (P x tCa), osteopontin (OPN) and parathyroid hormone (PTH) It relates to the use of a compound selected from the group consisting of as a biomarker. Such biomarkers can be used to monitor the development of modulators, particularly inhibition of, and / or secondary effects of FGFR inhibition on fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) kinase activity. The present invention further provides methods and kits related to such uses.
