titleOfInvention Ultra-Small Monolithic Electromagnetic Resonator
abstract The filter includes a substrate and one or more resonator structures formed on the planar side of the substrate. Each of the one or more resonator structures has a resonant frequency and includes a plurality of adjacent line segments and a folded transmission line patterned to form a plurality of gaps disposed between the adjacent segments. The ratio of the sum of the average width of the adjacent lines and the average width of the gaps to the substrate thickness is no more than 0.50. The filter further includes an input terminal coupled to one end of the one or more resonator structures and an output terminal coupled to the other end of the one or more resonator structures.
