Use of phthalimide derivatives in the treatment of diseases |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the use of phthalimide and / or sulfonamide derivatives having nitric oxide donor properties, which are effective in the reduction of TNF-α levels and in the treatment of blood diseases requiring exogenous nitric oxide sources. Have activity important for augmenting and anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. More particularly, the present invention describes the use of said phthalimide and / or sulfonamide derivatives for the treatment of sickle cell disease. The invention also features a novel feature of the disclosure of novel functionalized phthalimide derivatives designed from circular thalidomide and hydroxyurea and reasonably designed through a molecular hybridization strategy for the treatment of the disease. The present invention also discloses a novel method for obtaining specific sulfonamide derivatives that can be used for the preparation of drugs for the reduction of TNF-α factor levels and for the treatment of diseases in which exogenous nitric oxide sources are required. |
