abstract The present invention relates to a composition for the prevention or treatment of Staphylococcus aureus-derived diseases, and more particularly to a composition for the prevention or treatment of Staphylococcus aureus-derived diseases of animals other than humans containing the cockscomb extract as an active ingredient. The composition of the present invention has an excellent growth inhibitory effect on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus as well as Staphylococcus aureus, which is a major causative agent of cow mastitis, and is resistant to bacteria caused by the continuous use of antibiotics for the prevention and treatment of bacterial animal diseases. As an alternative drug derived from natural substances to solve public health problems such as emergence, it can be developed as a veterinary drug, a feed additive, etc. In addition, it can be usefully used in the animal medicine industry such as functional supplements and natural antiseptics. .
