Optical compensation film for liquid crystal display and related inventions |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display comprising a compensation film for a liquid crystal display, a polarizing plate comprising at least one such compensation film, and a compensation film of the type described above, a method for producing the compensation film, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display described above, and a liquid crystal display. It relates to the use of a compound having the formula (1) as an additive for a compensation film and described precisely below, and to other inventions related thereto. The optical compensation film according to the invention comprises at least one rod-like liquid crystal according to formula (1) as an additive for controlling the appropriate retardation values Re and Rth, wherein the residue has the meaning defined in the detailed description. |
