Providing a novel process for producing a multifunctional epoxy monomer which is easy to separate a catalyst of a water layer from a reaction liquid and has high hydrogen peroxide efficiency by reaction of polyolefins and aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution without using an organic solvent under mild conditions. The method according to the present invention is a method for producing a corresponding epoxy compound by reacting an organic compound having a carbon-carbon double bond with hydrogen peroxide in an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution to epoxidize the double bond, and using a tungsten compound and a tertiary amine as a reaction catalyst.
