(assignment) Aromatic polyimide having the same heat resistance and physical properties as the aromatic polyimide film made from the 3,3 ', 4,4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic acid component and p-phenylenediamine which are known to be excellent in heat resistance and physical properties. As a film, it provides the aromatic polyimide film whose manufacture is implement | achieved on industrially advantageous conditions. (Solution) Containing 3,3 ', 4,4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic acid units and 2,3,3', 4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic acid units in a molar ratio ranging from 75:25 to 97: 3.
