abstract The present invention is a composition for controlling harmful algae containing nano silver as an active ingredient, more specifically, a nano-sized silver metal or silver oxide that does not contain nitrogen (N) or phosphorus (P), which is a problem in eutrophication, as an active ingredient. The present invention relates to a composition for controlling harmful algae and a method for controlling harmful algae using the same, wherein the composition for controlling harmful algae of the present invention uses nanosilver without nitrate, which is selective for inhibiting growth and environment-friendly and harmful algae. It can be usefully used as a harmful algae control agent having excellent efficacy.
