abstract |
Disclosed is a process for the production of stable and transparent photocatalyst titanium dioxide in which the suspension of amorphous titanium dioxide is thermally treated in the presence of a particular alpha-hydroxy carboxylic acid. The sol comprises titanium dioxide particles in anatase form having a crystal size of less than about 10 nm and exhibits good stability and transparency at basic, neutral and acidic pH. |
