titleOfInvention | Screening Methods for Mycobacterial-Derived Polypeptides, Polynucleotides, and Anti-Mycobacterials |
abstract | The present invention relates to methods for screening mycobacterial-derived polypeptides, polynucleotides and anti-mycobacterial agents. The present invention suggests that the expression of carbon monoxide dehydrogenase is regulated by the CutI protein of mycobacteria, which is not known to date, and affects the activity of carbon monoxide dehydrogenase, suggesting the possibility of anti-mycobacterial agents. In addition, the present invention is aimed at controlling the expression of carbon monoxide dehydrogenase present in mycobacteria and not present in the human body, which is advantageous for the development of anti-mycobacterial agents having no side effects in the human body, and developed according to the screening method of the present invention. The anti-mycobacterial agent can be used for the treatment of mycobacteria related diseases more effectively in synergy with conventional anti-mycobacterial agents. |
