abstract |
The present application provides a) a recombinant viral vector or plasmid vector comprising a DNA sequence encoding a transforming growth factor superfamily or neurotrophic factor protein operably linked to a promoter. Manufacturing; b) transfecting said recombinant vector into a population of cultured cells to form a population of cultured cells; And c) implanting the transfected cell population in the peripheral region of the damaged nerve, thereby expressing the DNA sequence in the peripheral region of the damaged nerve, thereby preventing nerve degeneration. |
