abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel transdermal absorbent formulation capable of maintaining therapeutic blood concentrations by using citalopram, an antidepressant that selectively inhibits reuptake of serotonin, thereby delaying drug delivery to systemic blood. After oral administration of conventional citalopram, it is useful for improving patient compliance when combined with other drugs while reducing side effects associated with high initial blood levels. |
