The present invention relates to a method for automated culture of ESCs, such as human embryonic stem cells (ESCs). In some aspects, the methods of the present invention utilize optimized culture media and limited proteolytic treatment of cells to separate cell clusters for proliferation. An automated system for passaging and propagation of ESCs is also provided. |
