abstract PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing drinking water for livestocks is provided to enhance immunity of livestocks exposed by diseases and improve meat quality and taste using fermented herb extract. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing drinking water for livestocks comprises: a step of pulverizing herb leaves, stems, roots, and fruits; a step of mixing 20 weight parts of plants in 100 weight parts of water and fermenting; a step of filtering the fermented water through a filtering net; and a step of fermenting at 20°C-30°C for seven to ten days. The herb is selected from artichoke, Schizandra chinensis, Lycium chinense, Scutellaria baicalensis, Astragalus membranaceus, Hoelen alba, Angelica sinensis, Crataegus pinnatifida, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Acanthopanax senticosus, Eucommia ulmoides, Codonopsis lanceolata, Platycodon grandiflorum, and Lufa cylindrical.
