The present invention relates to diabody molecules and their use in the treatment of various diseases and disorders, including immune diseases, infections, poisoning, cancer. Diabody molecules of the invention comprise two polypeptide chains that are bound to form at least two epitope binding sites that recognize the same or different epitopes on the same or different antigens. The antigen may be derived from the same or different molecule. Each polypeptide chain of the diabody molecule is covalently linked via a non-peptide-bonded covalent bond, and may be covalently linked by disulfide bonds of cysteine residues present in each polypeptide chain, for example. It is not limited. In certain embodiments, diabody molecules of the invention further comprise an Fc region that allows antibody-like functionality to that molecule. |
