Use of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 to increase muscle mass in mammals |
abstract |
Muscle formation in animals can be promoted by prenatal administration of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 (25-OH D3). 25-OH D3 can be administered to pregnant mothers and the amount of muscle tissue of the offspring is increased compared to control mammals. Optionally, 25-OH D3 steadily supplements the regular expression after birth. |
