The present invention relates to a method for preparing a copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin, and more specifically, ethylene having a density of 0.910 or less that can be variously applied to films, flexible packaging materials, molded products, wires, impact resistance reinforcements, hot melt adhesives, and the like. The present invention provides a transition metal compound useful as a catalyst for preparing a copolymer of an α-olefin and a catalyst composition comprising the same, and a method of preparing a copolymer of ethylene and an α-olefin having elasticity at a density of 0.910 or less using the same. The catalyst composition provided in the present invention includes a transition metal catalyst and an aluminoxane, or a boron or aluminum compound containing at least one anionic ligand having a cyclopentadiene derivative and an aryloxy group substituted with an aryl derivative at an ortho- position. It provides a polymerization system having high activity and excellent reactivity with higher α-olefins in ethylene and α-olefin copolymers having a density of less than 0.910 having a narrow molecular weight distribution and uniform density distribution as an activator.n n n n Elastic copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin, transition metal catalyst composition, preparation method |
