abstract The present invention relates to a sensor used in the ABS for sensing the speed of the wheel. The wheel speed sensor of the present invention includes a detector for detecting a change in a magnetic field, an insert for fixing the detector, and a housing overmolded with the insert and the detector, wherein the insert has a plurality of protruding ends so that the end face is not covered by the housing. An insert fixing part and at least one annular welding groove formed along the circumference of each insert fixing part are provided, and the insert and the housing are welded to each other along the edge of the welding groove. According to the present invention, a sealing structure is provided around the insert fixing part of the insert to prevent moisture penetration, and a wheel speed sensor is provided which does not have a possibility of the detection unit being disabled even after long-term operation.
