R < 2> represents a halogen atom, a C1-C3 alkyl group, or a C1-C3 perfluoroalkyl group each independently. R < 3> 4- (trichloromethylthio) aniline represented by a formyl group, an acetyl group, or a trifluoroacetyl group represented by m represents an integer of 0 to 4, a method for producing the same, and 4- (trifluoro using the compound thereof. There is provided a method for producing romoxythio) aniline. It is possible to produce 4- (trifluoromethylthio) aniline in high yield by using industrially available raw materials and using a general production facility.
