The present invention provides a rose characterized by containing flavones and malvidin by genetic recombination techniques. Corresponding flavones and malvidin are typically produced by expression of the flavone synthase gene and the flavonoid 3 ', 5'-hydroxylase gene from pansy and the methyltransferase gene of anthocyanin, respectively. The flavone synthase gene is, for example, a flavone synthase gene derived from Hyunsamaceae, and as a specific example, a flavone synthase gene derived from Hyunsam and Snapdragon and a flavone synthase gene derived from Hyunsam and Torenia. The flavonoid 3 ', 5'-hydroxylase gene is, for example, a flavonoid 3', 5'-hydroxylase gene derived from pansy. In addition, the methyltransferase gene of anthocyanin, for example, is a methyltransferase gene derived from Hyunsam and Torenia. |
