Sample collector |
abstract |
The collector of the present invention includes a collection element for receiving a sample of body fluid. The collecting element may be an absorbent pad treated with a surfactant to optimize the absorbency on the absorbent material and / or the recovery of the analyte from the sample. The extractor is operably connected to the container and receives the collector to provide fluid communication between the collector and the container. The collector may be operable to release the volume of the sample into the container when received by the extractor. |
