titleOfInvention Silicone-containing prepolymers with hydrophilic polymeric chains
abstract The present invention provides a new class of silicone-containing prepolymers containing suspended hydrophilic polymer chains. This class of silicone-containing prepolymers can be crosslinked with actinic radiation to form silicone hydrogel materials having hydrophilic surfaces without surface treatment after curing. The present invention also relates to silicone hydrogel contact lenses and silicone hydrogel contact lenses prepared from the above class of silicone-containing prepolymers.
