abstract The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for compensating light backlighting in a digital image processor which performs light backlight correction on an image to which different parameters are applied and selects an image to which the user wants to apply light backlight correction. In the digital image processor, the backlight backlight correction apparatus performs a backlight backlight correction on an image photographed as a shutter-release button input and adjusts a predetermined parameter that changes the state of the image until the shutter-release button input is released. And digital signal processing means for re-photographing the image and correcting the backlight.
