abstract The present invention is coated on the surface of the sponge for interior materials consisting of 40 to 60% by weight of polyurethane resin, 30 to 50% by weight of solvent, 4 to 15% by weight of pigment, 5 to 15% by weight of flame retardant and 1 to 10% by weight of activated carbon. A flame retardant coating composition and a sponge for interior materials having a plurality of hexagonal pillar-shaped holes coated with the flame retardant coating composition, and having improved sound absorption, for interior materials that are attached to the interior of an engine room or electronics of a vehicle and other interior spaces. In addition to increasing the sound absorbency by making hexagonal holes in the sponge, the flame retardant coating composition prevents the spread of fire in the event of a fire and prevents the generation of toxic gases. Excellent antibacterial action to deodorize odors and germs in the building.
