titleOfInvention Combined Charge Transfer Nanotube Dopants
abstract Stable charge-transfer doping of carbon nanotubes is obtained using a dopant containing polymer (DCP), where the DCP has multiple dopant moieties with the ability to donate or accept electrons from the nanotubes connected to the polymer. . DCP is such that when the charge transfer equilibrium between a particular dopant moiety and nanotubes is in a dissociated or doped state, the dopant moiety remains connected by a linking moiety to the polymer, and the polymer is attached to at least one bound dopant of DCP. And a sufficient number of dopant moieties connected to the polymer so as to remain in the vicinity of the nanotube as bound to the nanotube. The linker is selected to allow the provision of the dopant portion to the nanotubes in a manner that is not disturbed by the polymer backbone, allowing them to be subjected to charge transfer doping.
