titleOfInvention Monovinylaromatic Polymer Compositions Containing Polymers Prepared as Disperse Phases from Renewable Resources
abstract The present invention relates to a monovinylaromatic polymer composition comprising a biosource polymer dispersion phase and a rubber dispersion phase as an optional component, wherein the biosource polymer dispersion phase consists mainly of particles having a size of less than 10 μm.n n n The present invention also provides a process for preparing the monovinylaromatic polymer composition, comprising mixing the following under conditions effective to produce at least a polymerization of the monovinylaromatic monomer and a compatibilizer of the biosource polymer and the monovinylaromatic polymer. Regarding a process comprising hereinafter referred to as a first process:n n n Monovinylaromatic monomers,n n n One or more biosource polymers,n n n Rubber as an optional ingredient.n n n The present invention also relates to a process for preparing the monovinylaromatic polymer composition, which comprises mixing the following under conditions effective to polymerize at least one monovinylaromatic monomer (hereinafter referred to as second process). will be:n n n Monovinylaromatic monomers,n n n Functionalized biosource polymer (s), or a mixture of biosource polymer (s) and functionalized biosource polymer (s),n n n Rubber as an optional ingredient.n n n The present invention also provides a process for preparing the monovinylaromatic polymer composition, wherein the functionalized biosource polymer (s) (or a mixture of biosource polymer (s) and functionalized biosource polymer (s)) in the molten state. And blending a monovinylaromatic polymer, wherein the monovinylaromatic polymer contains rubber as an optional component (hereinafter referred to as a third process).
