abstract And a photonic crystal structure having a crystal structure in which nanospheres excited by an excitation source and having phosphors capable of emitting longer wavelengths than the pump photons of the excitation source are densely arranged in three dimensions. Disclosed is a light emitting device in which the crystal structure has an optical band gap for at least a specific crystal direction and the wavelength of the pump photons falls within the optical band gap.
