| abstract |
A parenteral unit dosage form or unit dosage form suitable for delivery through the dermis or mucosa, wherein the composition contains buprenorphine and nalmefene, buprenorphine to nal delivered or reached to the patient's plasma. The weight ratio of mefen is contained in an amount in the range of 22.6: 1 to 40: 1. The analgesic activity of buprenorphine is increased by low doses of nalmefene. Also provided are methods for treating pain and the use of buprenorphine and nalmefene in the manufacture of a medicament. |
