abstract |
The present invention relates to an improved method for inhibiting corrosion, calcium sulfate and calcium carbonate in thermal desalination and membrane desalination processes. The method includes adding a composition having a low polymer phosphinosuccinic acid to seawater or recycle brine in a freshwater process to prepare drinking water and industrial water. The method also includes adding a composition comprising a mono, bis, and hypopolymeric phosphinosuccinic acid adduct to the desalting process. |
