abstract | The present invention provides a novel compound ( E ) -2- {2- [6- (2-cyanophenoxy) pyrimidin-4-yloxy] phenyl} -3-methoxy-acrylate (azocystrobin). Crystalline polymorphs and amorphous forms. Infrared Raman spectra of two polymorphs “Type A” and “Type B”, X-ray powder diffraction pattern and differential scanning calorimetry thermogram. In addition, the present invention also provides novel methods for producing the polymorphs "Type A" and "B", methods for preparing mixtures of polymorphs, and methods for preparing amorphous azoxystrobins. In addition, the present invention provides an antimicrobial composition comprising novel crystalline polymorphs “Type A” and “Type B” or amorphous azoxystrobin useful for controlling and countering fungi growing on agricultural and horticultural crops and plateaus, and Provided are methods of using the same as pesticide preparations against fungi on agricultural and horticultural crops. |
