| abstract |
The present invention provides novel macrocyclic compounds that mimic the peptide substrate of hepatitis C virus protease and inhibit viral protease, more particularly novel macrocyclic compounds as inhibitors of NS3 serine protease from hepatitis C virus. . Also provided are methods of synthesizing the compounds. The compounds have been found to be useful as antiviral agents for hepatitis C. The present invention further provides a method of using the inhibitor alone or in combination with other therapeutic agents to treat a hepatitis C infection in a subject in need thereof. |
