Discoloration, decomposition, and photocatalytic action of titanium oxide by ultraviolet rays are suppressed, and composite particles excellent in resistance to hydrogen fluoride; Printing ink containing the composite particles; Resin film which has a coating film which consists of this printing ink, and the discoloration, the change of visible light transmittance, and the fall of mechanical strength were suppressed for a long time; Provided is a coating composition containing the composite particles. As composite particles, a composite particle having particles containing titanium oxide, a first coating layer containing cerium oxide, and a second coating layer containing silicon oxide, in order from the inside, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the titanium oxide. The amount of cerium oxide is 3-30 mass parts, the quantity of the said silicon oxide is 5-60 mass parts with respect to 100 mass parts of said titanium oxides, and the average particle diameter of a composite grain | particle is used 0.15-3 micrometers. |
