The present invention relates to an antioxidant, an antibiotic and an antidiabetic composition comprising an extract of a hawthorn or fractions thereof as an active ingredient, and more particularly, an antioxidant comprising an extract or a fraction thereof prepared by extracting hawthorn with an organic solvent. The present invention relates to an antibiotic and an antidiabetic composition. The extract of the tree of the present invention or a fraction thereof may be usefully used as an antioxidant or anti-aging cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition by showing an antioxidant effect, and may be usefully used as an antibiotic or a health food by showing an antibacterial and antifungal effect. By showing anti-diabetic effect, it can be usefully used as an anti-diabetic composition or health food. |
