abstract | Disclosed is a method for producing a metal iron aerogel, which is prepared by drying and heat-treating iron oxide wet gel made using a sol-gel method under supercritical conditions. The metal iron airgel produced by the above method is an ultralight material having micropores and at the same time having a high specific surface area. In addition, the present invention discloses a method for removing chlorine of a harmful organic chlorine compound using the metal iron airgel prepared by the above method, thereby improving the chlorine removal rate compared to micro-sized commercial metal iron, and in water at room temperature. It is possible to decompose the high concentration of harmful organic chlorine compounds, and by controlling the transition metal content, it is possible to treat the harmful organic chlorine compounds of various concentrations. |
