abstract |
Titanium implant for increased retention after insertion into the bone. This implant contains a phosphate group combined with metallic titanium. In the method for producing a titanium implant, the implant is manufactured in a known manner, and then the metallic oxide is exposed by removing the oxide layer formed on the surface of the implant. The exposed implant is then treated with a phosphate solution in the absence of oxygen to bind the phosphate group to the titanium surface, which firmly attaches the implant in the bone in which the implant is inserted. |
