abstract |
(1) A quaternary ammonium hydroxide or quaternary ammonium carbonate is added to a quaternary ammonium salt containing a protonate of a tertiary amine as an impurity, and the protonate of the tertiary amine is added to quaternary ammonium. Neutralized with hydroxide or quaternary ammonium carbonate to convert to tertiary amine and water, while the quaternary ammonium hydroxide or quaternary ammonium carbonate is converted to quaternary ammonium salt,n n n (2) A method for producing a high purity quaternary ammonium salt, wherein the produced tertiary amine and water are removed out of the system. |
