titleOfInvention | Gene transfer efficiency improvement and virus preservation composition of gene carrier |
abstract | The present invention provides a composition for improving gene transfer efficiency to an animal cell of a gene carrier comprising an aprotic polar solvent as an active ingredient, and (a) a gene carrier; And (b) relates to a composition for gene delivery comprising an aprotic polar solvent. The present invention greatly improves the gene transfer efficiency of the gene carrier to animal cells by using an aprotic polar solvent. In the art, a large amount of lipofectamine is used to introduce a gene into cells, but the aprotic polar solvent of the present invention shows a much improved gene delivery efficiency than lipofectamine. In addition, the compositions of the present invention comprising aprotic polar solvents (particularly DMSO) exhibit excellent properties in terms of safety because they rarely cause cell damage, as demonstrated in the examples below. On the other hand, the composition of the present invention comprising an aprotic polar solvent is excellent in short-term and long-term storage for viruses with capsid proteins. |
