abstract |
The abrasive article comprises a plurality of abrasive particles and a resin cured into polythiol groups. A method of making an abrasive article includes contacting a plurality of abrasive particles with a curable composition comprising a resin and a polythiol group, and curing the curable composition to produce an abrasive article. The method of polishing a work surface includes performing a polishing operation on the work surface with an abrasive product to remove a portion of the work surface. The curable composition includes a formaldehyde resin and a polythiol group. Formaldehyde resins are crosslinked by polythiol groups. Crosslinking methods of formaldehyde resins include reacting polythiol groups with formaldehyde resins. |
