The present invention is lithospermum using radiation erythrorhizon S. et Z. ) relates to a method for enhancing the physiological activity of the extract, and more particularly, the present invention improves the antioxidant activity of the extracts by irradiating the extract containing the natural pigment shikonin (shikonin) and derivatives thereof In addition, the present invention relates to a method for enhancing various physiological activities such as inhibiting tyrosinase enzyme activity involved in skin whitening and inhibiting elastase enzyme activity involved in skin wrinkle improvement. Therefore, the irradiated extract can be usefully used in various fields such as cosmetics, foods or medicines by using irradiation technology without complicated processing. |
