Pharmaceutically Acceptable Solubilizing Compositions and Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms Containing the Same |
abstract |
The present invention comprises (i) at least one tocopheryl compound having a polyalkylene glycol moiety and (ii) at least one alkylene glycol fatty acid mono ester or a mixture of alkylene glycol fatty acid monoesters and alkylene glycol fatty acid diesters. It relates to a pharmaceutically acceptable solubilizing composition. Solubilizing compositions of the invention are useful for preparing pharmaceutical dosage forms comprising a melt treated mixture of one or more active ingredients and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable polymers. The solubilizing composition of the present invention improves the bioavailability of the active ingredient after oral ingestion. |
