abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for producing benzaldehydes or benzyl ketones by oxidation of benzyl alcohols, and more particularly, benzyl alcohol using an ionic liquid which is an ionic salt present in a liquid state at a temperature of 300 ° C. or lower as a solvent. It relates to a method for producing benzaldehyde or benzyl ketone by the oxidation reaction of the same. The present invention can be usefully used to oxidize benzyl alcohols to benzaldehydes or benzyl ketones because they are more environmentally friendly than conventional reactions, use little or no additional products, and are very simple. |
