abstract | Disclosed is a styrene copolymer having excellent heat resistance and transparency at the same time and a method for producing the same. According to the present invention, in the production of a heat resistant styrene resin by copolymerizing a styrene monomer and (meth) acrylic acid by continuous bulk polymerization, alkyl (meth) acrylic in an amount such that it does not significantly lower other physical properties such as heat resistance and processability. The addition of the rate as a comonomer prevents the decrease of the transparency of the resin due to the gel formation by the condensation reaction of (meth) acrylic acid in the volatilization process for removing the unreacted monomer and the reaction medium, and thus has excellent heat resistance and transparency. The coalescence can be prepared. |
